G-Shock Debuts New G-Aviation Twin Sensor Watch
Casio announces its newest addition to the G-Aviation lineup, the first in the line to be equipped with Twin Sensor capabilities of Digital Compass and Thermometer. The unique design of the digital compass indicates North with a needle indicator as well as bearing within one of two digital windows.
An airplane motif sub-dial structure within the watch face indicates the mode of the watch. A direct compass button on the side of the watch provides easy access to the directional readings. The GA1000-1A also features bearing memory; bearing memory lets you temporarily store and display a direction reading so it can be used as a reference as subsequent digital compass readings are taken.

Another feature included in the GA1000-1A is a UV-LED “neon illuminator” which in addition to the luminous paint on the hour markers, hour and minute hands; highlights additional UV sensitive paint on the 12, 3, and 9 o’clock indexes and dial itself, making it very easy to see in dark environments.
The G-Aviation watch features shock and 200M water resistance, tough solar power, neo-brite luminous hands and markers, world time (31TZ/48 cities + UTC), daily alarms, 1/100th second stopwatch, 5 daily alarms, countdown timer, 12/24hr formats and mute function.
The GA1000-1A also features bearing memory; bearing memory lets you temporarily store and display a direction reading so it can be used as a reference as subsequent digital compass readings are taken.
