G-Shock Expands G-Lide Line With New Surf Watches, GLX5600 and GWX8900
G-SHOCK debuts an impressive assortment of G-LIDE digital watches for summer 2014. Emphasizing superior functionality and performance, the latest G-LIDE collection is offered in four eye-catching color ways that emphasize G-SHOCK’s distinct digital time-telling and surf data capabilities
Designed with surfers and water sport enthusiasts in mind, the latest line of G-SHOCK G-LIDE watches is comprised of the GLX5600 (C-1 / C-2) and the GWX8900 (C-3 / D-2).
Casio GLX5600C-1
The GLX5600 edition features 200M water and shock resistant technology, 3 multi-function alarms and snooze function with flash alert. Accompanied by a countdown timer, 1/100 sec. stopwatch, World Time of 29 time zones (48 international cities) and operating in either a 12 or 24 hr format, the slim case options of the G-LIDE series provides for the most accurate time-telling details.
All functions of the GLX5600 are complemented by the highly coveted Tide & Moon graphs and Moon Age data chart that anchors the face of the timepiece, allowing for the most precise tide and surf swell recordings. The auto EL backlight on the GLX5600 models provides easy reading of the digital time-telling graphics.

The GLX5600C-1 is shielded by a black translucent resin case and band with contrasting neon green detailing, while the GLX5600C-2 has a blue translucent resin case and band with neon pink detailing. Both options are sure to provide undeniable style to the world’s top surfers and action sport enthusiasts that are at home in the waves.
Similarly, the GWX8900 models come equipped with standard G-Shock features. In addition, the GWX8900 models operate by utilizing tough solar power, feature Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping, and dual countdown interval timers, both are desired functions that make for perfect wave synchronization. 4 daily alarms with 1 snooze, full auto super illuminator LED backlighting, and preset and user set sites makes the GWX8900 models an excellent addition to the G-LIDE summer series; available in fluorescent green (GWX900C-3) and royal blue (GWX8900D-2).
