New RailRoad Watches From Hamilton
The new Hamilton RailRoad series takes the American brand right back to its proud roots, to the end of the nineteenth century. That was the time when Hamilton earned the title of ‘The Watch of Railroad Accuracy’, by providing railroad staff and passengers across North America with accurate and reliable pocket watches. The designers of today’s Hamilton RailRoad wristwatches have transformed this proven heritage into contemporary chic. Connecting the past, present and future is an uncompromising commitment to precision to ensure that modern timekeeping stays on the rails. And just to ensure that no wearer loses track of time, a smal magnifying glass takes pride of place on the crystal at 3 o’clock sharp.

Hamilton RailRoad Midday Train
A classical Hamilton pocket watch has symbolically shed its chains and wrapped itself around the wrist in the Hamilton RailRoad 38 mm. Circling the dial, markings resembling sections of rail tracks remind of the deep-rooted railroad history, or inspire reminiscing about the model railways of childhood. Applied metal ic indices and a date display at three o’clock are easy to read, taking the pace of the timing needs of hectic lifestyles. There is a choice of silver, black or white dial. These are complemented by black or white leather straps with one rivet bearing the engraved text, ‘The Watch of Railroad Accuracy – Lancaster 1892’. Alternatively, a stainless steel bracelet presents an up-to-the-minute interpretation of the chains of its predecessor.

Train In the bold Hamilton RailRoad 44 mm model, the pocket watch inspiration expresses itself via the counter disc design. Positioned at nine o’clock, reminding of the design of format of vintage pocket watches, this takes the smooth, round form of the attachment for the pocket watch’s chain. It also proudly bears an engraved text referring to the brand’s railroad heritage, as wel as rail track elements on the dial. The automatic movement is the brand new Valgranges® A07-511, adding modern Swiss craftsmanship to a shared tradition of precision. Hamilton is the first brand to use this innovative new Swiss mechanism. Black or white dials couple with a stainless steel or stitched leather strap.

Hamilton RailRoad Midnight Train
With its 46 mm case, the Hamilton RailRoad Auto Chrono almost aspires to pocket watch dimensions. This sophisticated chronograph intensifies the link with the Hamilton railroad heritage through several loops of ‘track’ winding around the middle of the dial to accommodate the tachymetre, as wel as two metal-rimmed circular counters. Four different variations combine a stainless steel or black PVD case with a black or silver dial and silver or rose gold appliqués. The railroad inspiration certainly has not been forgotten and a future of precision is clearly on the timetable, signed off by the Hamilton logo on the glass.
