Movado And Derek Jeter Host New York City Event To Introduce The Limited And Special Edition Movado Series 800™ Derek Jeter Chronographs

Movado and Derek Jeter hosted an exclusive event at The Four Seasons Restaurant in New York, NY to introduce an exceptional collection of Limited and Special Edition Movado Series 800™ Derek Jeter Chronographs. Movado worked closely with Derek Jeter to develop the Movado Series 800 timepieces.

Being the exceptional strategist that he is, Derek collaborated with Movado’s Design Team, providing valuable input into the development of his four groundbreaking new Series 800 models. In honor of Derek, Movado donated $100,000 directly to Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation.

Uniting strength, beauty, design and performance, this outstanding chronograph collection comprises four distinctive models – including two exceptional Limited Editions powered by fine Swiss automatic movements: 100 pieces have been crafted for the Limited Edition Movado Series 800 Derek Jeter Automatic Chronograph in 18K rose gold and black PVD-finished Performance Steel™. Only 10 pieces have been created for the Limited Edition Movado Series 800™ Derek Jeter Automatic Chronograph in precious, solid 18K rose gold.

In honor of Derek, the rotor of the fine self-winding movement that powers both of these remarkable limited edition timepieces is decorated with Derek’s number, 2. Each timepiece features an exhibition case-back that reveals the elegant workings of its movement, and each one is individually numbered to signify its unique position within its edition.

Presented in a handsome, custom-made box, each of these limited edition chronographs is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of Efraim Grinberg, President and CEO of Movado Group Inc., and Derek Jeter.

Movado also introduced two 1000-piece Special Edition Series 800 Derek Jeter Chronographs crafted in durable Performance Steel™. Both are bracelet models with striking stripe-textured dials – one blue, the other black. They feature custom-designed case-backs engraved with Derek's name and number, 2. Each one of these Special Edition Movado Series 800 Derek Jeter Chronographs is accompanied by a document certifying that it is from a worldwide edition of 1,000 pieces.
