Casio’s G-SHOCK GPW1000 is equipped with low-power consumption, high-performance GPS LSI manufactured by Sony Corporation. Sony and Casio collaborated on this technology in order to specially customize it for wristwatches enabling them to achieve world-leading low power consumption.

By combining Multi-Band 6 technology, which allows users to receiving Radio Wave signals transmitted from six stations around the world, and the GPS receiving function in a hybrid system, this new G-SHOCK can maintain accurate time easier than ever before. The watch automatically receives standard time-calibration radio waves where available. When they are not available, the watch will receive GPS signals and it can adjust the time, allowing the wearer to always view the correct time at the current location.
