G-Shock Releases Todd Jordan Collaboration

With the goal of creating a classic watch design unaffected by fads, the Todd Jordan x G-Shock collaboration (DW5600TOD-6) is based on the iconic DW5600, which is reminiscent of the very first G-Shock, the DW5000.

Originally a professional skateboarder, Todd Jordan is now a renowned photographer in New York. He is best known for his style of capturing life in New York, often taking passersby as subjects for his photos.

"This deep connection between G-Shock and extreme sports is why we are thrilled to work with Todd Jordan on this collaborative model."

"The DW5600 was the first G-Shock model that I owned. I remember that watch well. It still has a sentimental value to me, so it's really nice to be able to make my own 5600," said Todd Jordan. "I just wanted the DW5600TOD-6 to look simple. I'm simple and I like black. It's kind of homage to the legendary skater Harold Hunter".

As a purveyor of simplicity, Todd Jordan chose a unified black and silver theme for the DW5600TOD-6. The watch is further accented with a striking white LCD readout on a dark background. To truly make it his own, the back case engraving features a smirking caricature of Todd Jordan.

"Thanks to their shock-resistance and design, G-Shock watches gained popularity with skateboarders on the US West Coast in the early 90s, helping to raise the brand profile," said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio's Timepiece Division. "This deep connection between G-Shock and extreme sports is why we are thrilled to work with Todd Jordan on this collaborative model."

As with every G-Shock timepiece, performance and durability are the foundations of the DW5600TOD-6. Additional features include shock and water resistance to an incredible 200 meters, flash alert, multi-function alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch.

The DW5600TOD-6 is available nationwide and online for $120. For more information please visit www.gshock.com.
