G-Shock Unveils New GDX6900 Watch Models In Large Case Design
Casio introduces a perfect balance of strength and style with their new suite of oversized classic 6900 models - the GDX6900 collection. Continuing in the tradition of true performance innovation, G-SHOCK has turned their attention to the ever-popular 6900 model to make it almost 10% bigger; pumped full of additional features for a new generation of both G-SHOCK and basketball fans alike.
Due to the large number of customer requests, G-SHOCK has spent the last two years reengineering the iconic 6900 model into a large case format - no simple feat. Increasing the watch’s size means increasing its weight, and therefore the shock incurred when dropped. The internal watch construction had to be completely reengineered to maintain the 6900 shape.
Casio GDX6900FB-1
Through a host of innovations, including the implementation of alpha-Gel to absorb shocks and protect key internal parts, G-SHOCK achieved a shock resistance level so high that it passed the military standard MIL-STD-810 test. The GDX6900 also is 200 meter Water Resistant, boasts a powerful 10-year battery life and Super Illuminator Auto LED light.
Additional features include, 48-City World Time + UTC cities, Multi-Home Time up to four cities, five independent Daily Alarms with Flash Alert, Stopwatch, Countdown Timer, and 12/24 hour military time configurations.

Pricing And Availability
The XL 6900 will be available in six colorways over two release dates. The first is in October with the launch of four colors retailing for $130: GDX6900FB-1 (black/gold), GDX6900FB-7 (white / black), GDX6900FB-8 (skeleton black/gold), and GDX6900FB-8B (skeleton grey / silver).
The second release will be in November with two colors for $120: GDX6900-1 (matte black/black) and GDX6900-7 (matte black/white). Availability will be through select fine department stores, select jewelers, the G-SHOCK NYC Soho store and www.gshock.com.
