Luminox SR-71 Blackbird 9080 Limited Edition Watch

Retired ten years ago, the SR-71 Blackbird stealth aircraft from Lockheed Martin remains the record holder for flight speed and altitude. The Swiss Made SR-71 Blackbird chronograph watches became part of the Luminox Lockheed Martin collection in 2005, and this year Luminox introduces two new versions of its well received numbered Limited Edition Valjoux Chronograph.

The SR-71 Blackbird™ series 9080, are limited to 500 pieces with a choice of two carbon fiber dials - one black and the other silver with large chronograph sub-dials– and feature new Luminox Light Technology (LLT) color combinations: green for hands, blue for hour markers on the dial and green for the internal diving bezel marking. The LLT light tubes glow continuously for up to 25 years, no matter the conditions.

This 44mm black PVD treated stainless steel timepiece uses the Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement, with sapphire crystals top and bottom. The Valjoux is one of the most reliable chronograph movements in the history of watch making, a fitting tribute to the remarkable SR-71 Blackbird.

The new SR-71 Blackbird™ series 9080 limited edition comes in a new package, which includes a specially-designed wood collector box that doubles as an elegant and useful dresser-top box, as well as a leather travel kit that can carry two watches.
