Luminox Adds Time-Date Model To F-22 Raptor Collection

As the exclusive timepiece licensee of Lockheed Martin, Luminox includes styling cues taken directly from the fighter jet, so that when you wear the F-22 Raptor watch, a bit of the plane’s soul comes along for the ride.

Water resistant to 200 meters, the 43mm, solid titanium F-22 Raptor Time-Date is Swiss Made, featuring a multi-jewel Swiss quartz movement with a 10 year lithium battery, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screw down crown with a special flip up crown protector. The Time-Date has an exclusive charcoal dial with a distinctive texture treatment and, like all Luminox timepieces, features the Always Visible Luminox Light Technology (each Luminox watch features tiny gas lights, which are always lit, and as a result of this unique technology, Luminox watches are always readable at a glance, no matter the conditions, even in complete darkness). The Time-Date is available on a titanium bracelet or a charcoal leather strap with a red stripe.

The F-22 Raptor is the world’s premier fifth generation fighter and combines stealth technology with the ability to “super cruise,” i.e. sustained supersonic flight without afterburners, a much more efficient way to fly. The F-22 Raptor is capable of speeds up to Mach 1.82 without afterburners (more than Mach 2.0 with them).

A sleek and beautiful fighter plane, the F-22 Raptor is an amazing piece of machinery. The Luminox F-22 Raptor Series incorporates design elements from the plane in the watch. For example, the shape of the bezel and two of the center links of the bracelet were directly influenced by the wings of the plane. In addition, the shape of the case reflects the body of the plane and the crown mimics the nose and air intakes. Finally, the numbers, colors and style of the dial were inspired by the actual instrument panel of the F-22.

To make the watch stand out even more, the case back features a detailed engraving of the F-22 Raptor.
