The New Sportura Collection For Women. Where Elegance Meets Performance.
Seiko first met Darya Klishina when she won gold at the IAAF World Youth Championships in 2007, an event that Seiko supported. She was just 16 years old and it was already clear that she had a bright future ahead of her as a long jumper. Since that early success, she has risen through the senior ranks of her sport and is, today, ranked second in the world. During the last four years of her career, her personal best jumps have consistently improved and she is now among the favorites at every competition she enters. Born in Tver, north of Moscow, she played volleyball and trained as a sprinter before focusing only on the long jump event.

Klishina, now 21, is beginning 2012 on a winning streak, capturing first place in the long jump event at both competitions she has entered this year, the international match in Glasgow and the Russian Winter Championships. She is now focused on the upcoming IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul.
All four watches have ceramic bezels and each is presented in a unique combination; two have combination bracelets of steel and ceramic and two have high-grade leather straps.
Darya was delighted to be invited by Seiko to be the ‘face’ of the new Sportura. “Seiko has supported my sport for many years and so I am thrilled to become part of their team. Seiko was there, measuring the jump distances when I won the IAAF World Youth Championships in 2007 and I am happy to be wearing their new Sportura watch in 2012.”
Sportura. The elegant Chronograph.
The new Sportura design lends itself with grace and ease to women’s watches, as is clear from the refined look of the four new chronographs for women that are premiered at Baselworld. The new Sportura collection combines elegance with performance in a uniquely Seiko manner. All four watches have ceramic bezels and each is presented in a unique combination; two have combination bracelets of steel and ceramic and two have high-grade leather straps. The dial on the signature piece combines mother of pearl with 8 diamonds.
